Painful history of slavery in the past, gave way to incredible culture — music, dance, art. In 1800s slaves used their home culture to feel free, even for just a minute. I have been asked to be the ambassador for the international part of this organization. Which I feel honored to do. When I came in contact with the organization a few months ago I immedicably knew I would promote this cause and work with them.
So on Thursday We. Speak. Free is having a launch and evet at New York University to raise awareness, and I am invited to be the guest speaker in the program. This event is going to be very powerful and important. There is still a few spots left for the event at NYU so reach out to me if you would want to attend this.
